Gourmet Roasted Pepper & Tomato Soup + Lavender Twist Recipe

Roasted Pepper & Tomato Soup with Lavender
Ingredients
1 teaspoon Olive Oil
1 Onion (chopped)
2 cloves Garlic (minced)
3 Red Bell Peppers (roasted)
2 cup stewed tomatoes
1 ½ teaspoons Dried Lavender buds
1 teaspoons Paprika
1 teaspoon lavender sugar or White Sugar
4 cups Vegetable Broth
add Salt And Pepper to taste
1 pinch Ground Cayenne Pepper
Heat oil in a pot over medium heat. Add onion and garlic; cook and stir until onion is translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir in strewed tomato, peppers, paprika, lavender, cayenne pepper and sugar. Reduce the heat to medium and cook for about 20 minutes
Stir in broth, salt, and pepper; bring to a boil. Reduce the heat, partially cover, and simmer until vegetables are tender, about 25 minutes.
Remove from heat. Using a stick blender puree mixture if you don't have a stick blender follow the next two steps
strain over a large bowl, letting liquid accumulate in the bowl. Do not clean the pot. return the liquid to the pot
Pour solids from the strainer into a food processor or blender; purée until fairly smooth. Add purée to broth in the pot.
Return soup to stove top and simmer for 10 minutes till hot once again
