For the blueberry lavender vodka spritzer:

Do this part ahead of time and keep in the freezer

Ice cubes

Divide the cup of blueberries between two ice cube trays and fill with water. Freeze completely, or spread them evenly on a sheet tray and freeze until solid.

Use Boiled water. We use distilled water not tap water. Pour water into an ice tray or other mold and cover with a plastic wrap to keep out particles. Make sure that you have let the water cool a bit before pouring it in the tray so that it doesn't melt the plastic. try making extra-large ice cubes. Nothing like drinking a cocktail on one very large rock . We found our molds at the local dollar store.
To suspend the berries in the cubes work in layers: Fill an ice cube tray a quarter of the way with water, add blueberries and freeze. Add more water to fill halfway, and freeze. Fill to the top, and freeze again.

In a glass pitcher combine the vodka, blueberry simple syrup, lime juice, and club soda. Add ice cubes. Add remaining ice cubes to glasses. Pour the mixture over top and serve with a sprig of lavender with blueberries.

Make this as non acholic beverage by removing the vodka.
